Dr. Tamara M.B. Williams is a strong advocate for psychological wellbeing.
She earned her Bachelor’s in Psychology from Spelman College, as well as a Master’s and Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
She has extensive experience working with children, families, alternative education, day treatment programs, community mental health, special education and incarcerated felons.
Dr. Williams is a relationship expert, counselor, life-coach, business owner, and motivational speaker. Her motto is that “if we can get our minds right, then our lives WILL follow.”
As the Director of Liberal Studies at Hampton University and a professor in the Psychology department, educating others is a strong passion for Dr. Williams. She has taught multiple courses to include: Introduction to Psychology, Independent Study, Forensic Psychology, Social Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Psychology of Parenting, Motivation, the Psychology of Religion and Spirituality, Black Child Development and Intimate Relationships.
Dr. Williams is the author of psychology text “The Science of Psychology: An Introduction” and has presented a wide range of mental health awareness and psychological well-being concepts to multiple organizations and institutions.
