Dr. Owens joined the faculty at the Hampton University Department of Physical Therapy August 2009. As part of his scholarly duties, he coordinates and teaches the Musculoskeletal Management and the Sports Medicine curriculum. He also lectures in the Kinesiology course. Dr. Owens’ research interests include measurement of intervertebral disc hydration using stadiometry, outcomes in orthopedic manual physical therapy, and factors influencing patient compliance. Dr. Owens has been a presenter of orthopedic manual therapy continuing education throughout the United States, and has been in clinical practice for sixteen years.
