Dr. Hendrickson is a graduate of Brooklyn College, City University of New York with a BA in political science. She completed a Master’s in Political Philosophy and Comparative Politics at York University in Toronto, Canada. She taught at the University of Zambia and earned her Ph.D. from Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria, Nigeria where she taught for over ten years. She has been a professor of Political Science and Humanities at Hampton University for over 20 years.  Her most recent publication is a chapter with Dr. Hoda Zaki on Modern African Ideologies in the Oxford University Handbook on Ideologies.
