Da'Quan Marcell Love is an experienced educator and community leader with a proven record of achievement, leading teams that work cooperatively to accomplish collective growth and results. An expert constituent engagement and fundraising professional, Da'Quan combines relevance with rigor to achieve results.

Da'Quan received his Bachelors of Arts with honors in Political Science from Hampton University, where he also minored in leadership studies as a fellow of the William R. Harvey Leadership Institute. After graduating from Hampton University in 2014, Da’Quan became a high school social studies teacher at one of the lowest performing high schools in North Carolina. During his tenure as a history teacher, Da’Quan successfully increased student proficiency significantly, with his students achieving the highest test scores in the school district.

In 2015, Da’Quan returned to his Alma Mater to serve as Assistant Director of Young Alumni Affairs and Communications in the Office of Alumni Affairs. In this post, he serves as a university fundraiser and liaison for young alumni, while also engaging current students as they prepare for alumnihood.

One of Da'Quan's passions is civil rights, evidenced by his strong connection to the work of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP.) A life member, Da'Quan has served in a various national leadership roles including: national board member, Chairman of the National Youth Work Committee, and Vice Chairman of the Annual National Convention.

Da'Quan is a member of several organizations and honor societies, including: Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated, Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, Pi Sigma Alpha Political Science Honor Society, and Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities (2013 & 2014.) In 2014, The Root named Da'Quan as one of its 25 "Young Futurists," a listing reserved for high achieving youth leaders who have made a significant impact in their community.Da’Quan aspires each day to achieve his personal mission to “Empower and Uplift others through Service, Leadership and Excellence.”
